About Apertuur
Marketing has never had more data. But more data doesn't necessarily mean better understanding.
APERTUUR was created to help organizations get beyond the numbers — to understand the real people behind the data, uncover what matters to them, and turn that understanding into smarter marketing decisions.
By combining access to massive behavioral datasets with experienced human analysis, APERTUUR delivers audience intelligence that is reliable, fast, valuable and actionable. The result is deeper audience clarity and greater confidence in what to do next.
After more than 30 years in marketing — working on both the client and agency sides of the business — I've seen firsthand how important good customer insight is to good marketing.
I've also seen the limitations of the traditional ways of getting it.
Custom research can deliver tremendous depth, but it can also be expensive and take weeks or months to complete. Syndicated research can provide useful information quickly, but often lacks the specificity needed to answer the questions that matter most. DIY research tools can be economical, but they put much of the burden of research design, analysis and interpretation on the marketer. And newer AI-driven approaches offer exciting possibilities, but the reliability of the answers can vary.
I believed there was room for another option.
That idea became APERTUUR.
APERTUUR was built around a simple premise: Marketers shouldn't have to choose between quality, speed, value and actionability. By combining sophisticated data resources and technology with experienced human insight, we can answer important audience questions quickly and efficiently — without sacrificing the rigor needed to make meaningful business decisions.
APERTUUR was founded by Paul Richardson, a marketer, strategist and perpetually curious person who has spent more than three decades trying to figure out why people do what they do — and what marketers should do about it.
Over the years, Paul has worked with B2B and B2C businesses and brands from both sides of the client-agency relationship. That experience has produced a healthy respect for research, a low tolerance for 80-page presentations that never quite answer the question, and a strong belief that the best insight is the kind you can actually use.
Of course, an APERTUUR audience profile would tell you a little more.
